Hi, I’m Jerome Joe Najem, an 18-year-old Lebanese citizen,
currently studying at the American University of Beirut, majoring in Computer
and Communications Engineering. I was born in Lebanon’s third most populated
city, Akkar but I rarely visit the place, and the main reason for that is that
I live near Beirut. My introduction might sound cliché, but I am actually a
simple human being, enjoying the little things in life and making the most of
it.
I like sports, but I mostly play soccer, a sport my father
introduced me to a little bit too early, making me cry constantly with his loud,
repetitive celebrations (I was 3 months old). I occasionally go to the gym and
more often than not take a dip in the club’s Jacuzzi.
I like horror movies, exorcism-themed to be more specific. I
enjoy thriller and drama, shutter island being my all-time favorite and I am
stunned when I think about the fact that Leonardo Di Caprio is still
Oscar-less. How I met your mother is legendary. Music is great, but I am not
the kind of person to keep headphones stuck in my ears. Pink Floyd, Guns and
Roses, the Scorpions, Eminem, Daft Punk are pretty much all that I listen to.
I might not show it, but babies and cats are my weakness
(the smaller the cat the cuter).
I personally think ENG203 is lucky to have me, and by the
looks of it I am equally lucky, interacting with kind people and a passionate
teacher.
See you.
