How is Social Justice Obtained?
The inability to make a clear distinction between niceness
and goodness often leads to confusion about how social justice is obtained.
Being nice has nothing to do with creating social equality between diverse
individuals. People can treat diverse
individuals nicely, but consider them inferior due to their diversity , thus
their niceness would lack inherent goodness. Being nice can even prevent attaining social
justice by preventing marginalized people from showing intense anger and
opposition to injustice ,despite their opposition being for a good cause. Therefore, social justice can only be achieved when people
treat each other equally regardless of whether or not they conform with society’s
expectations of what is accepted ; it’s not about people being nice to each
other, rather it’s about people accepting
each other’s differences.
Check Moodle for your grade. Good Main Idea. Bad Grammar: "prevent attaining social justice". This whole sentence is very confusing because the grammar is all wrong. "Accepting each others differences" is not the issue it is rather about the oppressed and their rights.
