Rousseau acknowledges that people have freedom and liberty; which is born with us and not given by the society. The picture I have chosen illustrate a bird prison in a cage by a person who think himself powerful enough to use weakness of others to protect him while he’s destroying it life by taking his freedom: “man is born free, and everywhere he is in chains” (Rousseau 114)  . “Limited animal made a thinking being; a man” (Rousseau 115). So the government is using us like animals and trying to avoid equality between citizen and sovereign.
Throughout The Social contrast, Rousseau creates two thesis for social contrast. The first is that no citizen can be in a relation of personal dependence: the picture above explain how man is bounded by law which order his liberty and nature. The second is that a citizen only obeys himself while obeying the law. The main idea supported by Rousseau: man gain civil liberty and loss natural liberty by the social contact "the natural liberty, which is limited only by the individual's powers"; "the civil liberty' which is limited by the general will"(Rousseau 115)
The picture approaches to what we are living in Lebanon these days from the government who’s taking our freedom of using electricity, water, home (for some children’s without parent’s)…Although they are taking from us the right of expressing our point of view "i would do  it' or keep quit?".
