The text, “The
Revolution Will Not Be Polite: The Issue of Nice Versus Good” by Rachael,
discusses the importance of social justice whilst drawing parallels between the
concepts of ‘nice’ and ‘good'. Rachael compares the two ideas in relation to
oppression in our daily lives and illustrates the immoral acts that the
oppressed are exposed to. The writer further examines the ambiguous relationship
between being nice and being ethical. She draws clear contrasts between these
terms, that people often use interchangeably and thus are taken advantage of, to
allow us to understand the overall aim of social justice.
