Garbage played a major role in bringing people on the streets of Lebanon. Why is it this man’s duty to clean the environment after people’s carelessness. These people are highly subjected on a daily basis to toxins and diseases that the government does not consider. They are trying to clean up the country while the governors are sitting behind their desks negligent of their own country’s state.

Society conceptualises “liberty” as freedom with chains under conditions of law and obedience. Rousseau conveys the message that man-kind is “born free” but eventually gets engaged and becomes “in chains” (Rousseau 114). Without certain rules to abide by, the economic system will turn chaotic. However, the government should refrain from restricting society from practicing one’s own will.

In relation to the text, although this man willingly works he should not be subjected to severe conditions such as the wrath of the Lebanese community that constantly protests against the garbage issue. Furthermore, he must be administered to equality of rights just like any other employee in another job since rights “don’t come from nature” but they come along agreements (Rousseau 114).

Ultimately, we are all born with equivalent immunity. It is an injustice to degrade a diligent man to such extreme and life threatening tasks. Put yourself in his shoe, what would you do to provide your family with a sustainable life? How far would you endanger yourself?
